Our Why – People

Never did I anticipate that the choice I made thirty years prior would bear such a profound impact on my physical and mental well-being. At the time, my decision was driven by an emotional and ethical aversion to the senseless and inhumane treatment of countless sentient beings. Now, I am acutely aware that it was also the wisest choice for my health.

Back in the days it was more of an emotional and purely ethical decision, not to be involved in sensless and cruel mistreatment of millions of sentient beings. Today that is equally clear to me, that it was the best instinctively taken decision for my health.

The current state of our food system is far from ideal. Each year, we breed, nurture, and kill 70 billion animals, all while 700 million people continue to go hungry. Despite the fact that we have the capacity to produce enough food for everyone on the planet, we’re choosing to feed it to livestock instead of those in need.

In a world where we explore distant planets, construct virtual realms, we are facing   largest epidemics of diet related diseases, and whats even worst, the world hunger problem isn’t solved yet.

At PlantBe we belive, that we can support customers   in gradual switch towards healthier diet by,  widely avaliable meat and diary alternatives, by educational and informational activities, by convincing decision makers in companies, and government agencies, that this could be a part of real change and help solve the global issue of food insecurity.

We also want to support new innovative companies in delivering sustainable, healthy alternatives  to the wider population of people.
